Saferoad has over 60 years experience in manufacturing, supplying and installing steel and aluminium bridge parapets. These systems are designed to protect errant vehicles leaving the motorway on bridge structures, whilst protecting the occupants inside of the vehicle.

All of our bridge parapets products have been dynamically tested in accordance with the latest version of EN 1317 Parts 1 & 2 and satisfy the requirements within CD 377. All of Bridge Parapets systems have been CE & UKCA Marked.

We offer a wide range of containments levels such as:

• N1, N2.H2 and H4a in Steel:
• N1 or N2 in Aluminium.

The steel parapets come standard in a galvanised finish in accordance with EN ISO 1461, as an optional extra they can be enhanced galvanised or painted to a chosen BS or RAL number.

The aluminium parapets come standard in a mill finish.

Both our galvanised Steel and Aluminium Parapets offer a minimum of 30 years design life.

Each Parapet system has an approved MegaFlex transition which enables you to connect our Parapet into our suite of Megarail safety barrier systems, giving a fully compliant end to end vehicle restraint system.

Our parapet systems can be supplied in a range of heights 1m, 1.25m, 1.4m, 1.5m, and 1.8, with galvanised mesh, stainless steel mesh, solid metal cladding, GRP cladding, anti-access panels and steeple coping to suit a client's specific needs.

We can offer pedestrian Parapets in Steel form and are designed in accordance with BS 7818 Class 3 and 4 they come standard in a galvanised finish in accordance with EN ISO 1461. 

As an optional extra they can be enhanced galvanised or painted to a chosen BS or RAL number.

They can also be supplied in various heights 1.15m, 1.4m, 1.5m and 1.8m

Our galvanised Steel pedestrian Parapet systems offer a minimum of 30 years design life.
